I’m excited to share with you my very first interview! I had the great pleasure and honor of being interviewed by Ane Axford of SensitiveLeadership.com. Ane has been a mentor and role-model of mine in the last few years through her teachings about being an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) and learning to strengthen and lead with your sensitivity in all aspects of life, including self-care.
Whether you’re an HSP or not, I think you’ll find some interesting and valuable tid-bits in our conversation that could apply to your life and the ways you view your own physicality and sensitivity (because really, we’re all sensitive beings).
In this interview, you’ll learn:
:: what propelled me to study massage and bodywork
:: how I made the shift from asking (yes, asking for) so-deep-it-really-hurt bodywork to opening up to the power of gentler touch
:: how discovering Ortho-Bionomy changed everything for me
:: some of the common threads I see with my HSP and more sensitive clients
:: how receiving care from others + self-care benefit each other
:: a few of my favorite facets to becoming an empowered receiver of care
Your Gentle Nudge is simply to listen to our conversation as you make your way to work today, during your lunch break, while stretching, foam-rolling, cooking, or doing some other self-caring practice. You get the idea : )
With love + sensitivity,
Helena
P.S. What insights have you gained from receiving gentler care? What questions do you have about receiving care, or receiving hands-on care as an HSP? Leave your insights, feedback and questions in the comments below!
